While you may not think insects are about in the garden during the Winter period, many will be in a dormant state under or within your plants. Some may wake up early and for them to survive they will need food, this could happen because of a mild winter, some plants also get confused and will flower earlier than normal. Be on the safe side and cater for every eventuallality.

(Note: NP = Native Plant)
